Impacts to the VITA service catalog

To VITA customers without COV accounts:

The Virginia Information Technologies Agency (VITA) has been working the last three years to transition to a multisupplier infrastructure environment -- the next generation of information technology (IT) for the commonwealth. Many government entities, including yours, make IT purchases through VITA to take advantage of bulk purchasing and avoid the staff time involved in IT procurements.

VITA will move into the new multisupplier environment Dec. 15. Along with that move comes a new VITA service catalog. To comply with security requirements, access to the new catalog is restricted to those who have Commonwealth of Virginia (COV) accounts. You may have access to the new catalog. To check, simply click here. If you have access, you will see the catalog.

If you do not have access, you will still be able to view the existing service catalog on the website, which will be read-only after Dec. 15. The existing catalog will have detailed instructions on how you can still place orders.

VITA is working closely with our new suppliers to determine the best way to provide non-COV account holders with access to its new service catalog while following security requirements. We hope to provide you with that access soon.
