VITA service catalog update

AITRs, please forward the message below to all employees authorized to place catalog orders for your agency:

Guidance on ordering SSL certificates and RSA tokens

All requests for secure sockets layer (SSL) certificates can now be completed in the VITA service catalog. The SSL certificate form can be found under the Security Services category. Purchased certificates will be valid for 12 calendar months. Note that this includes both certificates provided by a certification authority and self-signed certificates.

There has been confusion on how to properly place orders for RSA authentication tokens. A keyword search for “RSA tokens” will not return any results. Authentication tokens are listed in the catalog as “Enterprise VPN 2-Factor Authentication Service” under the Network Services category.

Recommended next steps for you

Customers requesting two-factor authentication soft tokens, new SSL certificates or renewal of expiring certificates should navigate to the VITA service catalog to submit their request at a minimum of 10 business days in advance. Two-factor authentication hard token requests must be submitted at a minimum of 20 business days in advance. When ordering VITA services, follow your agencies existing approval processes prior to submitting to the VITA service catalog. Detailed information and instructions for ordering these services are provided in the catalog.
