Request for solution training class

To all AITRs, CIOs and ISOs:

Request for solution training class is available

The new multisupplier information technology (IT) infrastructure environment will provide improved services and opportunities for new, agile and transparent services that better meet the needs of agencies. This new environment is designed to provide innovative solutions that evolve with agency needs. As services evolve, VITA will continue to provide training opportunities to ensure you are well positioned to use these services.

VITA is providing a request for solution (RFS) class. (An RFS is what was formerly called a custom work request.) This two-hour class will include questions-and-answers with a subject matter expert and will review the RFS process, including:

  • How to enter an RFS in the VITA service portal and check RFS status
  • Roles and responsibilities within the process, including collaboration points

Recommended next steps for you

If you would like to attend this RFS class, please click here to view the schedule and register. You may choose to attend this class either in person or via Webex. Once you register, you will receive communications directly from vita.training@vita.virginia.gov with logistics information.

VITA is also offering several one-hour Webex sessions to demonstrate the process to enter a RFS. This Webex is intended for agency personnel who will initiate these requests but are not AITRs, information security officers or chief information officers. Please provide the names of staff from your agency who should receive an invitation to this one-hour Webex overview. You may send these names to vita.training@vita.virginia.gov
